Objective

To visualise the scheduled movement of Vande Bharat Express trains across Uttar Pradesh and simulate realistic train movement along the actual rail network.

Methodology

Train positions were interpolated along railway shapefiles using scheduled departure and arrival times from Indian Railways timetable data. Movement was animated in QGIS to reflect real-world travel across the route, with halts at all intermediate stations accurately represented. FFmpeg was used to render the final animation.

Key Insights

The visualisation provides a spatial and temporal perspective on train operations across the state, highlighting route coverage, station distribution, and scheduled connectivity patterns of the Vande Bharat Express network in Uttar Pradesh.
